For me..... It was a Hell of a year I'd like to forget.

Been all around this whole round world,
Lord, I just got back to day.
Worked all the way honey and I gave it all to you
Honeybabe, what more can I do?

Oh babe, it ain't no lie.
Oh babe, it ain't no lie.
Oh babe, it ain't no lie.
You know this life I'm living is mighty high.
One more woman, Lord in this town.
Keep her telling her lies on me.
Wish to my soul that old woman would die.
Keep her telling her lies on me.

Peace- Wharf

wow... I'm bowled over by her technique... the guitar is upside down ... fingering all reversed... and her playing hand does the exact opposite of a right-hander. Amazing.

I'll second that- glad to see 2010 broken down and carted off. I find most years slip by far too quickly as I drift through middle age, but last night midnight couldn't come quick enough. Here's hoping for an upgrade in 2011!

"...and/or it may require a change that hasn't come
before."
May (y)our 2011 be memorable for it's heavenly bliss, peace on earth, & goodwill amongst all.

I survived 2009 to rise like a phoenix from the flames in 2010. I pass on a couple of quotes that I hope offends no one; concepts like these helped me to 'understand' my reality as it was/is/shall ever be.
...from Selections from Cayce Readings, "Think on These Things,"
a)"Count thy hardships, thy troubles, even thy disappointments, rather as stepping-stones to know His way better." [262-83]

b)"For many an individual entity those things that are of sorrow are the greater helps for unfoldment..." [3209-2] ...unfoldment of mind, in the directing of the spiritual purposes... [2988-2]

Yes, 2010 was a down-hill year. I'll exemplify that with a "lump of coal" from Christie-the-bully-Beckster. Christie wants tax-relief welfare for rich people, austerity for workers and their families, and suffering for poor people and their families.

Can Jer Brown's 2nd go at gubernator help keep afloat The Archive here, and GD's archive at UCSC? If Whitman had won, and done things Christie's way, these Archives would be on the chopping block. Good thing both of them are in Calif, and not NJ. Christie hates teachers and librarians. He equates them with terrorists. Just like David Grisman, many times I've been embarrassed to admit I'm from NJ (born in NJ in 1951). I left there in 1974. Christie in no way represents me and my friends when I was growing up there. What happened to that place?

I've outted myself here as your sneaky-taper-terrorist, peace-loving-terrorist, hippie-commentator-terrorist, and Greenpeace-loving-eco-terrorist-same-as-Jer. I'm also a HTML-using, font-switching-terrorist who uses HTML-coding to do some photo-posting here. HTML-use for page-structuring is highly recommended. I've designed, created, and posted many web pages here. My best ones are about GD's sound system during the wall of sound era. In my spare time I'm running font-switching drills. The Archive's Forums are great for my HTML-terror-training-camps. I've been slammed here for all of this. What's the point? I've tried to help by providing readers with some of my explanations and my knowledge. The Glenn Beck types floating around here hate my guts. I "get it."

However, Grateful Dead music and performances did NOT occur in social isolation, or in a vaccuum. GD had huge cultural impacts on our society -- and in my life -- up to this day. These topics have been at the center of many of my postings. I strongly believe that younger people should learn this, and older Heads should not forget this. Let's keep it honest. This is a library, not a juke box.

I've stressed that you should think for yourself. I've tried making points that help people open their own minds.

Americana is what I taped -- 1973 to 1983

Thanks. Your steel playing experiences hopefully benefitted from the many pedal steel players I taped. They're some of the greatest steel players in history. I put these vintage tapes into circulation only recently, in the past couple of years. This links to my posting about my Scotty's Music tapes.

Good riddance to Meg Whitman. Arnold will be history on Monday morning. Addios 2010 and don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. Commiefornia gets rid of it's trash.

As for NJ... There is the law abiding citizen from Colorado; who spent a year in the gulag, cuz the pigs found a cased handgun in the trunk of a tourist's car. Not an issue in a free state. And the gutless governor Christie, only commuted his sentence. The visitor is left with a convicted felon's medal hanging around his neck.

Try getting a decent job? Several things are off limits in this case too.

The judge who hung this guy out to dry, was removed from the bench, for misconduct in the case. The Mafia's state is not my kind of place. The corrupt politicians are as bad as organized crime itself...
